Ah, Cradle of the Renaissance…you are inspiration! I never tire of your breathtaking beauty… You will always hold a special place in my heart.
And this visit made all the more special…
I’ve written about places that call us back, that touch us, that we just can’t seem to get enough of…and, certainly, Florence is one of those places for me.
Maybe it’s because I have roots here (my maternal grandparents immigrated from the hills near Lucca in the early 1900’s); maybe it’s because I love her treasure trove of magnificent artworks…
Maybe it’s because I never tire of or cease to be dazzled by her beauty, style and abundance of riches……and delightful temptations of all the senses!
Whatever the reason, and although this stay was relatively brief, I was thrilled and grateful to return just months after visiting in spring.
A fun on-location “photo shoot” (thank you Karina for my “new look!”), a LIVE Chat with Federico in the lovely garden of Palazzo San Niccolò, and the launch event of Prontopiain Florence were on the agenda…

And, of course, always time for partaking in delicious local fare (I became addicted to pappa al pomodoro!), eye-popping window shopping and just “being” in fascinating Florence!
As always, the memories are priceless and departing is bittersweet …
…but I know I’ll be back and under your spell again soon!
