♥ The Beauty of Being Here…includes my love of this place and sharing it with friends and my Italy Trip Design clients! ♥

After many months of planning, more of my lovely 2023 clients are arriving and living their dolce vita!

This is the ultimate reward of my work!

And just a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of greeting and meeting, and spending time with Marcy and her granddaughter, Lily!

♥ ♦ ♥

♦ Marcy and I started planning this “graduation” trip months ago. Their choice of destinations was based on where her granddaughter, Lily, wanted to go in Italy.

♦ Preferences? Their adventure started in Rome, the eternal city, where they enjoyed visiting (obviously!) some of the most iconic sites (e.g., Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, Sistine Chapel/Vatican), lots of gelato...and suggestions/tips before and during…

“So comforting to get these pieces of advice you give.”

Being well-located was a priority in planning Marcy and Lily’s trip…

“…breakfast buffet is incredible…and we’re well located in the city as you had promised!”

 And, a day trip to Pompeii (with a stop in Positano!) which was a must on Lily’s list. As always LivTours experiences were outstanding!

♦ Next stop Florence by train and settling into their apartment on the Oltrarno (also close to the historic center) and lots of great eats and shopping!

“We love this place. Lily made a video tour to send her parents. She’s so excited…”

Their planned experiences included an intro walk with Debora, a tasty food/wine walking tour with Taste Florence, visiting local artisans with Maria and taking in some of the most iconic sites, including the David (of course!)…

♦ And then, swept off to the Chianti countryside to enjoy their last few days visiting charming and unique villages, meeting locals and that cooking class they asked for!

♦ Their two weeks were pretty toasty but they were troopers. Knowing it would be hot in July/August, we timed all of their tours/activities in the mornings so that afternoons were a time to rest and refuel (aka take a nap!).

Judging from the dozens of photos (mostly taken by Lily) and delighted smiles, I would say that her dream trip became a reality, wouldn’t you?

And, making it even more of a family affair and reunion, Marcy and Lily were joined in Florence by her granddaughter, Rachel, who is living in Germany with her partner Jillian.

Lots of walking, eating, shopping and exploring on their own made this a very special time together in Italy! Lots of photos and precious memories to last a lifetime!
