Part of the Palazzo Pitti complex, the Gardens, referred to as “the lungs of Florence” is a vast and exquisitely landscaped garden with fountains, statues, ponds, woods…and now, even chairs here and there to sit and just be!
Location: Pitti Palace
Hours: Open daily 8:15 am, closing hours vary by month
(closed 1st and 3rd Monday of every month and some holidays
Fee: Part of your entrance ticket for Pitti Palace (or combo ticket with Bardini Gardens)

♥ Giardino delle Rose (Rose Garden)
Overlooking Florence, this delightful garden with its 400 varieties of roses and sculptures by Jean-Michel Folon is a lovely oasis and destination…and the panoramic views are breathtaking!
Sit, relax, daydream a while …then you can continue up to Piazzale Michelangelo for the iconic view of Florence or down to San Niccolo for a gelato!

Open Daily: 9:00 am – 8:00 pm
except Sundays from 10:00 am – 8:00pm

♥ Giardino Bardini (Bardini Gardens)
“The garden with the best view of Florence.”
Part of the Bardini Complex, this splendid Florentine Baroque garden is definitely a jewel and oasis any time of year but especially in springtime! And with stunning views of Florence from the loggia (where you can enjoy refreshments, it’s a perfect way to enjoy “la dolce far niente”!
“Wisteria hysteria” is rampant throughout the city but especially here – where the wisteria pergola/trellis gifts us with her beauty and perfume!

A beautiful botanical garden dedicated to the iris, giglio, the flower of Florence! Over 1500 varieties have been lovingly cared for and await our delight and enjoyment! And the views are stunning!
