♥ Seduced by the Salento… Again! ♥
The end of my journey brings me back to Puglia…specifically back to the Baroque gem, Lecce, in the Salento sub-region where I have visited many, many times and will doubtless return many more…
♥ Let me show you why and maybe you’ll see why you should return with me?
Exploring new destinations is always exciting but equally as rewarding, in so many ways, is being able to return to the familiar…to stay a little longer, to linger without an agenda…
♥ Sometimes you happen to be there when a special event is taking place. I call that a serendipity and my serendipity was on a Sunday when the magnificent palazzi of Lecce open their doors and the public could enjoy their hidden gardens…
♥ I love revisiting the familiar with “new eyes” and discovering new delights to appreciate and enjoy…
♥ And what a gift to reconnect with and revisit treasured friends…
♥ And let’s not forget the simply divine Pugliese cuisine!
♥ And I couldn’t leave with spending time with my wonderful friends and tour partners, Ylenia & Michele, and the Mamme of Cook in Puglia, could I? Absolutely not! It’s one of my favorite things to do and it’s always a hit with my guests!
♥Even I become a “cook” here in Puglia and what fun to cook together. Wouldn’t you love to join us??

Glad to see you connected with Orna! The time goes so quickly when in Italy and I think it’s marvelous to meet up with friends new and not so new. It’s what makes the trips so worthwhile in my opinion! I would spend a few hours with you in an airport anytime!
Phyllis,
I couldn’t agree with you more! After the months of meticulous planning, time seems to fly leaving us with treasured memories. And, certainly, among those are connecting with friends for the first or umpteenth time. There is certainly something to be said about we fellow lovers of all things Italian – we instantly bond!
LOVED meeting (finally!) you & Joe. Next time let’s make it a trattoria, OK??
Hugs xo
